Betty Hardwick Center

About Us

Betty Hardwick Center is a Community MHMR Center that serves Taylor, Jones, Callahan, Shackelford and Stephens County residents. The Center began serving clients in 1971. Today, the Center employs approximately 185 persons and operates with a budget of almost $13 million.

The Center's operates as a unit of local government, with a Board of Trustees that oversees operations. The Center provides outpatient mental health services for children and adults, outpatient and residential services to persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities and early childhood intervention services to babies ages 0 to 3 and their families.

Board meetings are usually held on the first Tuesday of every month at 5:15 p.m. at 2616 S. Clack Street, Abilene, Texas in Suite 150 and are open to the public. To confirm meeting times, call (325)690-5133.
